My goal is to work with patients to identify the appropriate non-surgical or surgical treatment to help relieve their pain and restore the function of the hip and knee. When I meet with a patient, my aim is to educate them regarding their condition and their treatment options to allow for a shared decision-making process.
I treat all patients as I would treat a family member, by helping them feel at ease and truly cared for. Patients tell me they feel cared for because they are always able to reach me. I always follow up with them after surgery and later to check in with them outside of their scheduled clinic appointments.
My mother suffered for years with disabling pain from osteoarthritis in both her knees. Eventually, she decided that enough was enough and she had her knees replaced. This experience let me see the positive impact of joint replacement. The dramatic impact of seeing the result of her undergoing knee replacements convinced me to devote myself to providing the same outcome for my patients by specializing in hip and knee replacements.
