About

William Yancey, MD, is the interventional pain specialist at Yancey Pain & Spine, which has two locations in Houston and The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Yancey takes an evidence-based approach to medicine, utilizing proven therapies while incorporating the latest advances to help patients obtain a lasting solution to pain rather than simply managing it. Pain is a complex problem, and Dr. Yancey believes in a multidisciplinary approach to treat all aspects of the condition, not just the pain itself.
After graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Yancey earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He went on to complete his internship, residency, and fellowship training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Dr. Yancey’s undergraduate and graduate studies in biomedical engineering have given him a unique perspective in the practice of medicine. Compared to other specialists in his field, Dr. Yancey understands how the body works and takes a meticulous approach to solving problems to identify and treat the root causes of his patients’ pain.
At Yancey Pain & Spine, Dr. Yancey and his team aim to help patients seeking definitive solutions to their problems so they can return to their work and life.
