This should be good news to many. So many OPT and STEM OPT (work permits for students who have graduated from their academic programs) applicants frustrated by USCIS's delayed rejections of their cases, such that they could not timely remedy and refile their cases correctly. Here, USCIS is admitting to their detrimental delays, and posted this flexibility. This applies to cases filed between Oct 1, 2020 and May 1, 2021 and USCIS subsequently rejected them.
