Leadership: The Truth
Every week I read a bedtime story for my Facebook Group, The Calm in the Storm and this week we honored the great legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Her life was dedicated to speaking for the voiceless as she championed for equal rights and justice. May we carry on her legacy, not with strife and anger but carry it on with LOVE. Thank you Rebel Girls for this beautiful illustration of her life.
Rest In Peace #RBG

May her legacy live on!
Diversity, equity, and inclusion have to do with more than race or ethnicity. In order to foster racial equity, we must start with a conversation. An authentic dialogue that uncovers the ways that we, as humans block true belonging.

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍽🍁
Let us all reflect on the things that matter the most. I’d love to know what you’re most thankful for - comment below.
“We are biologically, cognitively, physically, and spiritually wired to love, be loved, and to belong. When those needs are not met, we don’t function as were meant to be. We break. We fall apart. We numb. We ache … The absence of love and belonging will always lead to suffering.”

With businesses placing more emphasis on investing in their workforce, it's no surprise to learn there's been an upsurge in people keen to start a successful coaching practice.
There's no quickfire answer on how to create a six-figure coaching business but we can begin with these 5 simple steps.
As we look back on 2020 and reflect on the divisions, whether they be of race, gender, class or otherwise, 2020 challenged many of us. Despite the divisions, it was our year of opportunity for change, for inclusivity and for Belonging.
Today #JoeBiden will become the 46th president of the United States sworn in alongside Vice President-elect #KamalaHarris. May we remember their words of #unity and #belonging when both stood proudly in front of our nation and the world. #Harris spoke passionately of her desire to reunite the country and heal the soul of its nation once again; while #Biden proclaimed his notion, “I plead to be a president that seeks not to divide but to unify, who does not see ‘Red States’ or ‘Blue States’ but the United States.”
As our country begins this new chapter, do we dare to hope that these two are the chosen ones to lead us forward to meet our destiny of a culture of Unity and Belonging for all? I guess only time will tell.
May this ring louder in each of our hearts now more than ever.
“Belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are. It requires us to BE who we are.”
- Brené Brown
Creating a sense of belonging starts with you. When you are 100% sure of who you are, where you are and where you want to be and you can communicate it effectively to others, you can become a more effective leader.
So what is your why? Here are some questions that can help you...
❔What do I often find myself daydreaming about? Why?
❔What do I wake up thinking about most days? Why?
❔ What do people who know me very well say about me? Why?
❔ What makes me happy? Why?
Discovering your ‘why’ can help you become the type of leader who is motivated by strong values and can drive business success across the board.
This year we have faced challenges never before seen in a generation. However, we have more tools and techniques at our fingertips than ever before as well. All it takes is the want and desire to create a culture of Belonging for us all to get creative and find innovative ways and means to unite and support each other.
Companies who establish a culture that is inclusive, diverse and filled with moments of Belonging, often find that their teams are united, their leadership solid and the entire workforce become united; a team working together towards a common goal.
If you or your company would like further information on how to curate this sense of belonging in your workplace, please contact me at kelly@youloudandclear.com
