UPDATE: Local health officials announced that beginning February 15, individuals with many chronic conditions will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in New York State.
⚠️If you have a chronic condition outlined by the NYSDOH, at this time, you do NOT need to contact your health care provider to obtain proof of medical eligibility or to make an appointment to receive the vaccine.
Local health officials announced that at this time, vaccination appointments will occur through pharmacies and local and state health departments. Vaccine supplies continue to remain extremely limited.

TODAY: Dr. Robert Mayo, Chief Medical Officer at Rochester Regional Health, signed a Proclamation to officially recognize March 11, 2021 as COVID-19 Commemoration Day.
The community is encouraged to “Shine a Light” at 8 PM tonight in memory of the lives lost to COVID-19 and as a thanks to healthcare heroes and essential workers.
Also signing the Proclamation were Dr. Michael Mendoza Public Health Commissioner, and Dr. Michael Apostololakos, CMO of University of Rochester, Executive Adam Bello and Mayor Lovely Warren.
