We're looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service. Duties include the following: • Greeting patients upon arrival, checking them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data • Answering incoming calls from multi-line phone system, directing calls to appropriate staff • Scheduling appointments in EHR system, and making patient confirmation / follow up phone calls. • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents. In addition, receptionist is responsible for entering patient PHI from paperwork and scanning insurance cards into the electronic health record. • Collect and process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits. Active listening and great customer service skills also are a must. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance. All candidates must be friendly, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and work well with others.
