After completing her Dietetic Internship through the Coordinated Program at UC, she worked as a clinical dietitian for three years in the acute care setting. — Her passion is helping patients gain not only the knowledge of how to successfully improve their health, but also the confidence in their ability to maintain healthy changes long-term! ❤️

Fresh vs. Frozen: Which is better? 🤔 The answer may not be so cut and dry like you might think—our dietitian breaks it down below! — FRESH: ✨Freshly picked fruits and vegetables contain some of the highest quality nutrients if consumed right away, but the longer you wait to eat them, however, the more nutrients you lose out on (not to mention the time spent in transit from farm to store). So the question is- when are you planning on using them? — FROZEN: ✨Frozen produce, on the other hand, is often picked at peak ripeness. This means it’s still packed full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The produce is then snap-frozen within hours of being picked to lock in the nutrients. — So which is better? ✨According to many studies out there, the differences in nutrient levels between fresh and frozen are SO minor they would unlikely have an impact on overall health. If you're going for fresh, try to use them the day you buy them!
