Dr. Zhou has an interest in general infectious disease as well as HIV/AIDS, hospital epidemiology, infection control and prevention, and antibiotic stewardship. “A culmination of experiences and people motivated me to choose medicine and continue to inspire my career. I was interested in how the body worked and healed as a child. I worked as a camp counselor for children with HIV/AIDS in college, and I traveled to South Africa, Lesotho, and China for health-related internships. I love hearing people’s personal stories. Medicine is the perfect intersection of science and personal histories. “
