Today is "spill" day today at Zebra Computers! If you or someone you know have spilled any type of beverage on your laptop keyboard, STOP!! Power it off right away and make a "tent" out of it on top of a towel so the liquid doesn't get down further than the keyboard. Next, bring it down to Zebra Computers; we'll fix it right!
For those responsible for network security, this is a must read. Open RDP ports are bad news. If you need a solution for secure remote access, let us know. We provide VPN and network security.

Got this nice review from EC today:
I was looking for a "site" where I might write a "review". I have opted to just send you a message on this "site". YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!! I made several phone calls in an effort to get a hardware repair done on my Toshiba lap-top. When I called your shop, I was impressed that Mark not only suggested that you might be able to repair my computer, but he (Mark) seemed genuinely enthusiastic about my "business". When I dropped my computer off, I didn't expect a whole lot, but the enthusiasm continued. I had not been gone an hour after the "drop-off", when I got a call from Mark to give me a progress update. ONE HOUR after that, Mark called me to say the work was DONE! When I picked it up the next day, the invoice was also a great surprise! Not only was it very reasonable, but the technician had taken the time to explain in "real people" English what he had done! WOW!! That's all I can say! WOW!!
For those that have critical data on their systems, keep in mind that Ransomware is on the rise. There is not a week that goes by without a big ransomware attack. And these guys are serious, asking thousands or millions of $$ for the decrypt key, and even then you cannot trust criminals to do what they say they will do. So make sure you are using 3, 2, 1 backup strategies, for your critical data.
Let us know if you need assistance in creating a bulletproof backup and redundancy for your systems and data.
As the Pandemic continues the demand for computers stays constant.
We still Fix Computers Right!
And not just computers, we fix stuff, we solder, we replace screens on laptops, we have repaired a bunch of TVs, ECU for vehicles, controller boxes for logging and blasting controls.
If you have something that doesn't roll down the road, wash or dry clothes, or cooks food etc, that needs fixed, give us a call.
This is for an Enterprise VPN system that people pay probably thousands of dollars for at one point in time. these people did not maintain their systems and upgrade the firmware, the operating system for these devices. By neglecting maintenance you are opening up your systems to these kinds of attacks. if you have questions about the security of your network please get a hold of us and we can do an analysis and find out if there are any weak points.

We all know that Cisco is a world leader in networking and computer system security. But, it appears that ethical behavior is not one of their strong points. They got caught with their hand in the piggy bank: https://www.theregister.com/2020/10/05/cisco_patent_bill_centripetal_networks/
No matter what, we need to deal ethically, honestly and legally. So we can sleep at night and not worry about what will happen down the road from making bad decisions.
At Zebra Computers, we WILL tell you the truth, even if it means we don't make anything doing it.
For instance, we see a few computers come in with hardware failures that are under warranty. We look up the warranty and let the customer know, even if it takes away money from our pockets. This does leave the money in our customers pockets though, and this is the right thing to do. I am sure that others may just say, it will be $? to fix it...
