I often tell people that going to therapy is never someone’s “plan A” in life. However, life has a way of bringing hurt, struggle, frustration, confusion, and despair. When these feelings become too heavy to bear the weight of alone, therapy is a wonderful plan B. It is my hope that in the context of a safe, respectful therapy environment, I can join alongside of my clients as they journey toward hope, wholeness, and healing.
I believe all people are created with an inherent dignity given by God. That dignity is often damaged, broken, and forgotten because of hurtful relationships, distorted thoughts, poor choices, chemical imbalance, and loss. However, I believe that through a safe therapeutic relationship, people can achieve wholeness in their hearts, minds, bodies, and relationships. My desire is to help you find that peace, through truths found both in the Bible and from the myriad of theories and techniques discovered by a wide range of insightful therapists, psychologists, and scientists. If it’s true and good, then I welcome it in my practice! Therefore, when you come to me for counsel, I’m seeking to listen without judgment to your story in order to hear what are your strengths, discern unhealthy thought and behavior patterns, and provide helpful tools and techniques so that you may achieve peace, health, and wholeness in your life.
