Dr. Kuo is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography.
Dr. Kuo completed his Masters of Public Health (Health Policy and Management) and Medical Doctorate degrees at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. He was an Intern and Chief Resident at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He went on to complete his 3-year Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and 1-year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine (USC) where he was also a Chief Fellow.
Dr. Kuo’s training and accomplishments are exceptional. His scholarly activities during his fellowship include authoring a book chapter entitled “The Role of Statins in Heart Failure’ that was published in the Lipid Management, Springer International. His interest in Heart Failure is exemplified by his involvement in an Institutional Review Board approved clinical trial ‘AQUA-CHF’ that evaluated the use of Tolvaptan in Heart Failure patients with hyponatremia. In addition to Dr. Kuo’s many accolades and strong clinical skills he speaks fluent medical Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin and Taiwanese dialects).
