Dr. Amir (Behi) Rabbani is a cardiologist who practices in Torrance. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He specializes in the management and prevention of heart disease with special emphasis on the catheter-based, minimally invasive treatment of complex coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease and valvular heart disease.
Dr. Rabbani's mission is to treat every patient with the utmost compassion and individualized care. He believes that communication, respect and availability are the hallmarks of good patient care.
Dr. Rabbani was raised in Michigan. After completing his undergraduate studies at Yale University, he returned to the University of Michigan to earn his medical degree. He remained at the University of Michigan Hospital to complete an internal medicine residency and serve as chief medical resident, and to complete fellowships in general and interventional cardiology. He then pursued additional advanced training in the management of peripheral vascular disease and the catheter based treatment of structural heart disease. He has special training in the non-surgical replacement of heart valves.
Dr. Rabbani has published peer-reviewed papers in medical journals including The American Journal of Medicine. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Interventional Cardiology.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Rabbani is a clinical instructor of medicine in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
