Marcia is committed to the health and well-being of all of her clients by helping them find relaxation and pain relief with a blend of Swedish-based massage, neuromuscular therapies, stretching, and other relaxation techniques. When the body is in good posture, proper breathing is possible and muscle attachments are not strained, reducing the potential for injury and pain issues.
Marcia is also trained in the use of light touch therapies, such as Lymph Drainage and Cranio-Sacral. These therapies are useful in many cases to further the relaxation and healing processes of the client. Lymph Drainage Therapy techniques can reduce swelling, puffiness, cellulite, and stagnant fluid buildup, which can be the root cause of pain or limited range of motion. It is also effective in assisting the body’s natural immune system by boosting white blood cell count and the body’s ability to cleanse the circulatory system. Lymph Drainage Therapy helps cleanse the tissues and promotes healthy tissue regeneration; excellent while in pre- and post-surgery for reduced incidence of infection and assist speedy recovery. Lymph Drainage Therapy techniques can also help reduce wrinkles and expression lines. Cranio-Sacral Therapy techniques assist in healing the body of many issues including: migraines and recurring migraines, headaches, fascia release, range of motion, difficulty sleeping, equilibrium and other ear issues, eye issues, feeding issues, TMJ and some persistent pain that won’t resolve. Marcia will discuss the specific issue with the client and explain how Cranio-Sacral Therapy may help.
