Mark Anderson entered the book trade in 1999 working for Carl Ashford and Amanda Lynch at their excellent shop in Omaha: Jackson Street Booksellers. After moving to Seattle in 2003, he apprenticed in the trade under Dan Gleason and Wayne Moye. In 2010 he opened his own shop, continuing his evolution in the book trade next to neighbors Taylor Bowie and John Michael Lang. In 2015 he was admitted into the Antiquarian Bookseller's Association of America, and he is proud to abide by the code of ethics maintained by the ABAA. Nora Butler, partner and wife of Mark, joined the firm in 2011. Together, as Anderson Butler Rare Books, they offer antiquarian and collectible material as they seek to preserve, and contribute to, the culture of time.
