Anthony J. Brothers, MD, joined Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics on November 1, 2016. Dr. Brothers specializes in joint replacement surgeries, sports medicine, and orthopaedic trauma. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Science in Bethesda, Maryland, and spent one year as a general surgery intern at David Grant Medical Center. As a member of the United States Air Force, Dr. Brothers then became a flight surgeon at Cannon AFB, New Mexico, and received a very competitive military scholarship to attend the University of California at San Diego for his training in orthopaedics. During his 24 years in the Air Force, he served as Chief of Surgery and was deployed to Afghanistan twice. For his service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Lt. Col. Brothers received two Army Commendation Medals
Dr. Brothers is licensed in the states of California and Florida and has been board certified in orthopaedic surgery since 2005. Prior to joining Hughston Clinic, he practiced at Northwest Florida Orthopaedics.
