Happy birthday Sy, and thank you to the SCPD, the Apex staff, and all those who made sure that this American hero had a memorable birthday. Suffolk County Police Department April 22 at 4:59 PM · Sy Bosworth survived World War II, COVID-19 and made it to his 98th birthday. That deserves a party. And that’s just what Sy got, in spite of social distancing requirements. Members of the Suffolk County Police Department, staff at Sy’s residence, Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, family, friends and strangers made sure Sy’s birthday didn’t go by without notice on April 21, as they sang Happy Birthday and shared love and friendship, even if at a distance. Happy birthday Sy!
