Dr. Ashley Bateman was born and raised in Pacific Palisades, California, and is happy to come "home" to start her family medicine practice with UCLA in Thousand Oaks. She is a fourth generation physician who is carrying on her family's tradition of providing excellent primary care and making house calls when needed. Dr. Bateman received her undergraduate degree from Skidmore College in Neuroscience and her Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University. After medical school, Dr. Bateman completed the Cook County-Loyola-Provident Family Medicine Residency program in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Bateman treats patients of all ages including children and older adults. Her practice is designed to accommodate routine health care and the management of chronic medical conditions, as well as minor trauma, such as lacerations and immediate care. Her special interests are in preventative healthcare, adolescent well-being, and women's health and wellness. Dr. Bateman performs various in-office procedures including but not limited to, joint injections, skin biopsies, colposcopy, endometrial biopsies, splint/casting, tonometry. In her free time, Dr. Bateman enjoys horseback riding, reading, skiing and spending time at the beach. Dr. Bateman is fluent in Spanish.
