We have been asked many questions about the correct safety practices for the ongoing prevention of the spread of Covid 19. New guidelines come out everyday from the CDC and this can be confusing. It is important to remember that this is a new virus and the unknowns far out way the known. The virus may or may not live long on hard surfaces. It may be effected by hot or cold environments. It may show symptoms or it may not. All of this said....face masks and hand washing are still your best defense. It is always encouraging to learn more and more about the virus and how it is transmitted. As you return to “normal” just remember to wear you mask when going to the store, wash your hands frequently and as always we are here if you need us for all your healthcare needs.

We are testing for COVID-19 in those individuals who require testing. If you have symptoms or have a known exposure, please contact us immediately. These tests are not being done for screening purposes. Testing is readily available but we do not want to bottleneck labs with unnecessary testing at this time. Many questions are coming in regarding immunization schedules. This is the latest chart from the Mississippi State Department of Health. It is our understanding that these vaccines will be by appointment through the health department of the county you live in. We are excited that these vaccines are becoming available. Please continue to practice strict safely measures during the next several weeks. Auburn family medical provides rapid testing from 8-5 daily. Please do not hesitate to call for any questions or concerns you may have.
