Howdy Folks! The Texas State Fair came to the employees at Autumn Leaves for lunch today. There were corny dogs, fried Oreo's, empanadas, nachos, and fries on the menu. Staff were first greeted by the huge Big Tex! Big Tex will meet our residents soon.
Today is National Chocolate Milkshake Day! Yesterday for Happy Hour all residents enjoyed a delicious shake served with Hershey kisses on the side since tomorrow is Milton Hershey’s anniversary. What flavor shake do you enjoy?

Today all the residents of Autumn Leaves had so much fun being “contestants” on The Price is Right game show. Each person was given four rounds of games to play which were naming prices, guessing high or low price, ranking items in order from least to most expensive, and at the end making a bid price on three items combined. Today we celebrated the Veterans who live at Autumn Leaves. There are five Army, five Navy, three Air Force, two Marines, one Coast Guard, and one ROTC Veteran living at our community. Combined their years of service and it totals 80 years. Thank you so much for your many years of service.

Yesterday was Elvis’ birthday and Monday was National Bird Day. The residents enjoyed celebrating these special days earlier in the week with some Elvis Bingo and bird puzzles.
