Originally from Israel, Aviv Katz, MD, was raised in South Florida. He completed an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida with high honors.
Subsequently, he trained at the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Katz completed seven years of post-graduate training as well as three years of internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami. He then was elected to serve an extra year as chief resident. Thereafter, he completed an additional three years of gastroenterology & hepatology fellowship training at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine / Jackson Memorial Hospital where he performed more than 1900 various endoscopic procedures.
His clinical interests include general gastroenterology, hepatology, inflammatory bowel diseases and nutritional disorders.
He gladly welcomes new patients.
