TCA member Dr. Jeremy Johnson was transformed from a skeptic to a success story as a result of his first experience with chiropractic. Years of athletics took a toll on his lower back. He sought medical help only to be told there was nothing wrong; he was just given pain medication and assured it would get better in time. He lived with chronic pain for five years and while he’d heard of chiropractic, he’d never known anyone who’d received care and was skeptical. Then, while working as a personal trainer, his gym had a health fair. He met a chiropractor who talked with him and checked his posture, and ultimately was able to pinpoint the area of pain – something no other provider had been able to do up to that point. He began chiropractic care, and it wasn’t long until not only was he no longer having usual pain flare-ups, but he was also “stronger, faster, and more coordinated than ever before”. Seeing first-hand the potential, Dr. Johnson decided to become a chiropractor to help others. He graduated with honors earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX in 2005. He says the peer relationships, classes and instructors took what he “thought chiropractic was, back pain, and opened [his] eyes to what it really is - total body health and wellness.” Dr. Johnson cares for his community of Spring Hill at Back to Health Family Chiropractic, and is a great example of practicing what he preaches. He works out almost daily, watches what he eats, and he, along with Heidi, his wife of almost 20 years, and their 3 “chiro babies” are adjusted regularly. His free time is filled by coaching his children’s baseball and softball teams and spending time with his family.
