Home health aides make it possible for someone to live at home safely with comfort, independence, and dignity. They’re unsung heroes. And during Hispanic Heritage Month, we want to honor one of our aides who has made a tremendous impact: Ana SanClemente.
Back in 2017, Ana’s client, Mr. Juan, spent three months in a rehabilitation hospital after surgery. During that time, he wasn’t under BAYADA’s care, and Ana wasn’t assigned to him. That didn’t stop her from visiting him every day, a tangerine in tow—his favorite fruit—to keep him company. In many Latinx cultures, food isn’t just about the act of eating; it’s a way to show love. That love helped Mr. Juan in his recovery; that love helped him go home again, where he wants to be.
Ana is the best of us—she’s what we mean when we talk about The BAYADA Way. BAYADA is humbled by her work ethic, her compassion, and how she’s changed Mr. Juan’s life—and we’re honored to share her story and celebrate her this Hispanic Heritage Month.

In honor of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we'd like to spotlight our 2016 LPN Hero of the Year Teresa "Tess" Lambeth in our CPS office.

During that difficult time of her life, she continued to put her own health issues aside and priortized Katherine and her family. Fast forward 4 years today, Tess continues to be an essential piece to Katherine and the CPS office's lives.
Tess, it's heroes like you that truly demonstrate the meaning of a "superhero". Watch Tess' story today and see why she was just as much of hero in 2016 as she is now: https://bit.ly/3kbTowp.

Sue Pascale, LPN from the BAYADA Pediatrics office in Lancaster, PA wasn’t about to let a snowstorm keep her from caring for her 14-year old client. She traveled a mile to her client’s home using cross country skis! A wonderful example of our nurses’ dedication to their clients.

At BAYADA, our patients are our purpose—and the reason we love what we do!
We are continually amazed and humbled by the resilience and determination of our patients and their families, even in the face of the most challenging circumstances. Thank you for welcoming us into your homes—it is an honor to walk this journey with you.
The BAYADA Way tell us to “Let our smiles be seen and felt.” But even if you can’t see our smiles behind our masks, we hope you can feel them!
Amidst the Black Lives Matter movement and the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe it's more important than ever for all of us to stand together against racism at home and at work—and to honor the contributions of Black Americans to our society and culture throughout the history of our nation. After all, Black History is American History.
Black History Month isn't a just a February-only event, but an opportunity to continue to learn, embrace equality, and celebrate our uniqueness all year long. Partnering with The Diversity Movement, BAYADA created our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office, to provide education, resources, and opportunities to support our people and help our employees become better advocates and allies.
In the comments, tell us, what does Black History Month mean to you?

Jaena is celebrating the chance to be a part of the solution by receiving the COVID-19 vaccine! Read below what she has to say after their first dose of the vaccine:
"I feel grateful for the opportunity to receive the vaccine early on with BAYADA and a huge sense of relief being on step closer to the end of the pandemic!
This vaccine gives me peace of mind for not only my health, but for the health and safety of my family, loved ones, the general population, and especially the patience we service at home. I want to be a part of the solution to put an end to this pandemic once and for all. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and this is the opportunity to be a part of the solution. It is a communal effort and together we can do this little thing to get the world back on track." - Jaena B.

BAYADA Physical Therapist, Victoria, is celebrating the chance to of getting one step closer to "normal life" by receiving the COVID-19 vaccine! Read below what she has to say after their first dose of the vaccine:
"Getting the vaccination was amazing! It made me feel like we might be inching towards back to normal life again. I decided to get the vaccine to not only protect myself but my patients and my family from this deadly virus.
I will admit, I was skeptical at first because of how fast the vaccine was created, but I don't think it would be approved if it wasn't safe! There's a risk with every vaccine, medication, or medical procedure. But I am happy to feel a little crummy [from reported side effects] for a few days to avoid being infected with COVID-19." -Victoria A., PT
