At tonight’s evening social we made individual Apple Pies In A Cup to take home and the residents reminisced about the days they’d cook at home. Gail enjoyed cooking but said husband said Bob can also make a mean beef stew! At the end of the evening, Ernie treated us to a couple of toe-tapping tunes on his harmonica - the same harmonica that he kept with him and played when he served during WWII.

Today, Benchmark CEO Tom Grape received his first COVID-19 vaccine at Cabot Park Village, an Independent Living community in Newton, Mass. Tom waited until all residents and associates throughout Benchmark’s 63 communities had a chance to receive their initial dose before rolling up his own sleeve. Tom and the entire Benchmark team are working hard to promote the importance of getting vaccinated.

It was a big day for Bedford Falls today as we hosted our first CoVid-19 vaccine clinic! Our thanks go to CVS Pharmacy and all the associates who came in to lend a hand and help make the day go smoothly. It went like clockwork and we finished ahead of schedule!
We’ve incorporated some new games, this locked down holiday season, and the ‘Guess the Wrapped Gift’ game was such a hit, we did it again on Christmas Eve. The residents had to guess by clues - they couldn’t touch the gift and pass it around like they normally would - but that was as much fun, we discovered, and in this photo Stan won the “portrait of Andrew Jackson” jackpot!
This holiday season, Theresa & Kaitlin helped our art & craft lovers create hanging snowmen decorations, gingerbread scented cookie ornaments and mistletoe paintings. We’ve also enjoyed Alice’s Cape Cod Vodka Cranberry Cocktails and competed in Wii Bowling Tournaments...
