We continued our 50s theme with a fun performance by our favorite ladies, The Encore Dancers! Even resident Margaret was getting into the mood!
We started our Family History Day with a visit from Cool Creations Ice Cream because who doesn’t remember what a special treat ice cream was when growing up! Then we showed pictures of our awesome residents when they were younger and shared their family histories. Thanks to Community Relations Director Amy Orlando for a heartwarming discussion about the importance of family. We love our family here at Bickford!

At Bickford, our Veterans are very important to us. On Veterans Day we honored them with a lovely and meaningful Pinning Ceremony. We also honored the wives of Veterans for their service. Our lucky Veterans were then treated to a delicious lunch from our good friends at Mission BBQ. Thank you to Fox Rehab, At Home Care, Amedisys Hospice, Chaplain Wendy and guest speaker Hazel Snead for their help and contributions. But mostly, thank you Veterans for your service.

Our Bickford family of residents and our BFM’s (Bickford Family Members = all staff) will have the opportunity to save lives and gain additional protection by getting vaccinated. Happy Hanukkah from Bickford. We celebrated by learning the history of this special holiday. Then our friends Sydney and Jessica from Jewish Family Services held a virtual meeting which included a game of Hanukkah bingo! We were also treated to Sydney’s traditional Hanukkah foods, Challah bread and Bopka bread. Thank you Sydney! We love you!
