We kicked off Falls Prevention Awareness Week with a wonderful educational presentation from the NC Center for Health and Wellness and a great Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention Class. Our residents really enjoyed it!

Here at Brookdale, we are all about making meaningful connections and relationships with our residents. Our Maintenance Technician, Brian, did just that! He went above and beyond to print and make a copy of a resident's high school yearbook! Mrs. Ponder was so surprised and loved getting to reflect back on all of her high school memories and seeing the picture of herself! She has now transitioned back home with her family and will be greatly missed!

Mrs. Dunn always enjoys decorating and being festive for each coming season and holiday. She recently recieved a beautiful wreath in the mail from her family. This brought tears to her eyes, she was so happy and excited to receive her beautiful, colorful, new wreath and to know that her family is thinking of her!

Efforts towards COVID-19 prevention have become part of our daily lives, and we are so pleased to share that our Brookdale residents and associates are among the first group to have access to a COVID-19 vaccine. We are partnering with CVS Health through the federal government’s Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program and will be having our first vaccine clinic on Wednesday, January 27th from 11am-5pm for community residents and associates who are interested in receiving the vaccine. Together, we can take action to prevent COVID-19. #BrookdaleHope
