What a wonderful week! We are finally able to welcome our residents back to socially distanced communal dining! We also began our outdoor visits in Assisted Living, Crossings, and Clare Bridge.

We're ready for fall in Belle Meade!
Two things our residents love are photo shoots and baby chicks! Here we have our Crossings residents having an "egg-celent" time with the chicks 😉. We have one week left with our sweet chickens and we will miss them dearly!

September 13-19 is National Healthcare Environmental Services and Housekeeping Week, and we want to take a moment to share our appreciation for our housekeeping associates Wanda and Carol for everything they do every day to ensure a safe, comfortable, and clean setting for our residents and associates here at Brookdale Belle Meade! They have gone above and beyond in not only keeping the building looking its best but taking extra infection control measures to help protect those we serve. We appreciate you ladies!!
Meet Paige Holbert, Crossings Program Manager here at Brookdale Belle Meade. Paige’s journey started with Brookdale three years ago while in school receiving her Master's Degree in recreational therapy. As the Crossings Program Manager, Paige’s role includes keeping our residents engaged mentally and physically on a daily basis from a person-centered approach. Paige also serves as a resource to families and care associates to help understand the Dementia process.

Meet Mary Kate Lyons, Clare Bridge program manager, here at Brookdale Belle Meade. Mary Kate has been with Brookdale for a little over two years. After getting her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Mary Kate worked in memory care programming for five years before joining our team! In her current role, she plans and implements life-enriching programs to keep our residents engaged mentally and physically throughout the day. Mary Kate’s passion for her work is apparent in her care and compassion she shows our residents daily!

Meet Nikki Jackson, Health of Wellness Director of Memory Care here at Brookdale Belle Meade. Nikki has been with the company for one year. She began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2003 as she worked on her undergrad in Health Administration with a minor in sociology. Nikki then went to school for nursing. As she worked as a nurse, she decided to continue her education and earned a Master’s Degree in organizational leadership. Nikki ensures our community is safe and resident’s needs are sufficiently met. She also supervises nursing staff for performance, giving feedback on an ongoing basis. Nikki has a sincere passion for our senior population which is unquestionably displayed through her altruism!
On behalf of Brookdale Belle Meade, we want to extend our gratitude today to all the men and women who have served our country. We have the honor and privilege to serve a number of veterans here in our community in return. Happy Veterans Day, today we honor you!
Meet Jeff, dining services director here at Brookdale Belle Meade. Jeff has been a part of the Brookdale team for almost 8 years. Jeff’s role includes direct food service operations within the community by overseeing all food preparation, dining room operations, and dining delivery services. His role plays an integral part in helping our staff and residents stay well-nourished and healthy. His passion for serving others truly shows in his work daily, as he makes sure all of our residents' needs are met and goes above and beyond to make the holidays extra special.
On behalf of everyone at Brookdale Belle Meade, we want to thank all of our families, friends, and volunteers for helping us make our “Parade to End Alzheimer's" such a success! We had a wonderful turn out, and the smiles on our resident's faces were priceless! We are grateful for you all! 😀
