While they couldn't be here in person, The "League Of Women Voters” and Brookdale Oceanside got creative and held a California Proposition and Oceanside Measure Zoom presentation in our family room. Our tech-savvy residents were able to watch from their rooms, while other residents were able to come to the family room to discuss the various California propositions on the ballot this November. Our socially distanced residents were also able to ask specific questions regarding the various propositions and Oceanside measures, so they can be better informed.
As a caregiver, you may often put other people’s needs ahead of your own. While you're going above and beyond during this uncertain time, it’s important to take care of yourself. Burnout can interfere with your ability to provide crisis support during a natural disaster or in times of stress and anxiety. To be an effective caregiver, start with giving yourself some love.
