Even with the surge in COVID cases in our area, BVA continues to strive to provide your beloved pets the care that he or she needs. In order to keep both you and our staff safe during the pandemic, we are resorting back to curbside only starting on Friday.
During our curbside service, we ask that you call our receptionist when you arrive for your appointment. When we are ready for your pet, our technicians will call you, obtain a history, then meet you at the door to bring your pet in. Our doctors will perform the examination, call you with the findings, and then make a treatment plan with you. Once all treatments are performed, our technicians will call to go over any medications needed, check you out and return your pet to you at the door.
If you have been exposed or are positive for COVID, we ask you to avoid bringing in your pet for routine visits. If it is an emergency, please have another person bring your pet and inform us so that we can take the necessary precautions.
Please remember we are on ER only during Thanksgiving Day! Everyone stay safe and avoid giving those delicious foods to your pets!

As the holidays are nearing please know we are here for you and your pets. Because of COVID-19 a lot of clinics have been limiting their hours- which means a huge influx of new patients for us during emergencies. We will try to accommodate as many emergencies as possible and if we cannot fit you in then we will find you appropriate help at other 24 hours ER clinics. Stay safe and Happy Holidays!!
Mabel came in her for her first puppy exam today !!! Needless to say we are excited to watch her grow up , she is the sweetest!!! ❤️
We want to thank all of our amazing clients that came to our defense yesterday. We have not received any more threatening phone calls and most of the fake reviews have been deleted. Thank you all again!
We are now receiving threatening phone calls. Please be advised we are trying to take care of emergencies and getting threatening phone calls is tying up our emergency lines.
BVA has been under attack today by non-clients posting inaccurate reviews. Its heartbreaking to see because we cannot legally respond with accurate medical information without breaking Patient/Client/Veterinary confidentiality. Just know we are here for all of you and will continue to strive to help as many pets as we can.

Do you want to help save lives??
At BVA we are in need of blood donors for our canine and feline friends. Our current list of donors is running low and we want to be able to care for any pet that is in need of a transfusion. Will your pet be that hero?
Dogs- must be between 1-7 years of age, 50lbs or over, up to date on vaccinations, and do well with handling.
Cats- must be between 1-7 years of age, over 10lbs, up to date on vaccinations, and do well with handling.
It would be best if you lived within 30 minutes of the clinic so we can get fresh samples when needed.
If you are interested in becoming part of our blood donor list please email us at info@butlervet.com. We will pay for your pet to be blood typed and 4DX tested(dogs) and FELV/FIV tested(cats).
Thank you for helping out!!

Its been a year since the initial shut down. Many clients are frustrated that we are still doing curbside. We understand your frustrations but please realize we need to respect our employees health concerns as well. As of right now veterinarians/veterinary staff are considered 1B eligibility for the vaccine. The state of PA is still in its 1A phase. Because we already work very closely together, we do not want to risk the health and safety of our staff and our clients by allowing them back into the building until the majority of the staff is eligible and vaccinated. In our facility and with the work we do it is impossible to truly social distance, especially in exam rooms with clients. We want what is best for all of our clients and staff. Please be patient with us and we will let you know when we intend on allowing clients back into the building. Thank you!
Thank you for being patient with us , the phones are working now !!
We are having trouble with our phones today they aren’t working properly. Please be patient with us .
