Success! Kiddos can be scared sometimes to go to the doctor, especially to have their cast removed. Dr. Herzog helped her little son out today before seeing the specialist. No tears and all smiles. Casts still can be cool. He did say, “Mom, I wish you treated elbows... “Me too, buddy! But I love treating feet and ankles.”

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common conditions we see in our office. It causes pain on the bottom of the foot especially in the area of the heel and arch.
It is caused by an overly tight plantar fascia (the ligament that connects your heel and toes). Putting too much stress on the the ligament causes inflammation, small tears and pain.
Stretching, rest, ice, and anti-inflammatories can traditionally treat the pain. If this fails to alleviate the pain other treatment may need to be considered.

Well... I was able to and decided to get my covid vaccine today. I will be the first to say that I didn’t make this choice lightly. I am still not sure what I think, but I do believe in medicine and I believe we can conquer this virus. Thankful I was able.
