About

Minimally invasive procedures offered at the Center for Advanced Vein Care include:
Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy: Ultrasound guided sclerotherapy is used to treat large varicose veins that may not be seen with the naked eye. Ultrasound is a painless technique that allows the physician to see veins that cannot be seen at the surface of the skin.
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA): Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) is a minimally invasive ultrasound technique used for treating varicose veins. It uses laser energy to close the diseased vein so that blood is rerouted into healthy veins.
Radiofrequency Thermal Ablation (RF): Radiofrequency ablation is a minimally invasive treatment that uses heat for the treatment of vein issues. Radiofrequency energy is used to heat up and damage the inside wall of a vein to close off the problem vein.
Surgery is no longer required for vein treatment! Newer techniques, such as endovenous laser thermal ablation (EVLA), radiofrequency ablation thermal ablation (RF), ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy, and visually guided sclerotherapy, allow for the treatment and management of most vein conditions WITHOUT the need for hospitalization, major surgery with general or regional anesthesia, or prolonged recovery times! Most people can be back to work or their daily routines immediately and any restrictions are often lifted within one week. Most evaluations and treatments are covered by insurance, so you don’t have to hesitate to come into our vein clinic for treatment of your vein concerns.

[Blog Post]Good day everyone! I’m hoping this communication finds you well! Checking in on your diet journals! How is it going? Have you noticed any particular food type that you tend to indulge in more often than others? Our immune system is pretty complex. It requires a lot of specific nutrients to keep it running smoothly – much like a car. Many factors play a role in how much of these nutrients we need to take in during the day through our diets, including health problems, medications you might be taking, stress levels, recent illnesses and even intestinal problems (like irritable bowel syndrome, frequent heartburn or GERD). However, it’s important to remember that ensuring that you get each of these nutrients into your system every day is huge in bolstering your immune system. [Blog Post]As I have strictly limited my media supplied sources on COVID 19, I’m not sure what everyone has learned about this epidemic. Why does that matter? Because while the researchers are actively racing for vaccines and treatments, WE can be focused on what we can do to help our body do what it needs to respond appropriately when faced with this – and any future – virus or illness. When we focus on exercise and moving – we are doing just that.Exercise – not extreme, elite athlete level exercise, rather daily 10-20 minute (preferably multiple times a day) of walking, yoga, yard work, cleaning – normal stuff! I want to add a bit about some essential vitamins and nutrients that are also important to your immune system. It’s sunny today, so let’s talk about Vitamin D... [Blog Post]Good morning! We are very excited to announce a website where you can order safe and effective supplements! We’ve talked about how effective supplements can be to improving your health and Dr. Stiller goes into more detail below. Choosing sources for supplement and vitamins – including probiotics – is really important & Regulations are a double edged sword of sorts…they typically mean something will cost more. This is because in order to meet regulation requirements, the processing of any product will take more time, effort and testing. I have been working with Designs for Health on finding a way to provide a convenient way to help you get the type of quality product I am willing to take myself. [Blog Post]This morning when I woke up and checked my emails (a disturbingly common habit for me – especially with so much more time at home and literally hundreds of emails a day!). Yesterday we talked about how important sleep is for staying healthy. “Get enough sleep. Sleep and the immune system are old friends that have been linked since time immemorial. Sleep reboots your mind and your body, so it’s no surprise that it also reboots your immune system. In one study, researchers found that getting at least 7 hours of sleep per night can make you 4 times less likely to catch a cold compared with less than 6 hours per night. In another, researchers studied sleep duration among twins, and found that the twin who got less sleep had a depressed immune system.
