I write this with extreme sadness. Today checks Cafe and the checks family lost a very special part of us due to cancer. James was a very big piece to our checks family and we are devastated over the loss. We will miss James running around cleaning pouring our drinks singing his heart out to karaoke or just making small talk with every person he came across but mostly we will miss his smile and the way that he loved checks as much as he did and always showed it! Please keep James' children and the rest of the Middleton family in your prayers. James will be greatly missed and Checks will be a so different without him there everyday with us.
With sadness and heavy hearts again us here at checks have lost another one of our family members as you all know we lost James back in November well recently James's nephew passed unexpectedly. This family has really been put through the wringer. Anyone that knows Anthony from checks knows what an amazing person he was and what a character he was and how like James he always kept a smile on your face his personality was amazing. He will be missed tremendously by all of us here at checks Cafe. The family needs a little bit of help coming up with the money to be able to have a service for a Anthony no donation is too small anything will help them at this time especially prayers as well so please keep his family in your prayers as they mourn the loss of another loved one that has passed too soon!! Also if you would like you may drop donations off at checks Cafe just let the bartender know that it is for Anthony's family and we will make sure that it gets to them!!

Our checks family has seen a lot of loss since 2021 has started. Checks is not just a place to come and hangout checks is a family all of us are family. You come in as a customer and you leave as a piece of our hearts. A few days ago checks lost a huge piece of its heart we lost Mr Paul Higgins. A wonderful man who will be very missed because he is very cherished. Not only was he a customer a patron a helper on Fridays during our busy lunch hours making chili and soups but he was our family. It breaks our heart tremendously to learn of his passing and he will be so deeply missed. Please keep his wife and family in your prayers at this very difficult time.
