For our team the average days on the market through the Pandemic since March is 6 days. Selling at 102% of the list price on average. Since the Pandemic stated in March we have approx listed and sold 65 Listings, and represented 62 Buyers in transactions. Many of the appts either Divorce or moving out of State. The buyers have been those who no longer need to commute and will permanently work from home. Mostly moving to SCV for schools, low crime, and great home prices. Let's start a plan! If moving in 2021 is on your agenda then this is going to be helpful.
Keep a box in each room. As you go through the weeks start putting unnecessary items in the box. Make space somewhere in your home or garage to move the boxes too. Make sure to label all 4 sides and the top of the box with which room the contents came from.
Also keep a box around labeled trash and a box labeled donations. Make sure to fill these up as you go sooner vs later. Less your clutter.
The other tip I love is to use blue painter tape. Put the tape on the furniture that you are going to keep. The rest you will know what is being sold or given away. Sometimes making the decision on what to keep is the actual hardest.
