As COVID-19 continues to take a toll on our communities, we want to make sure to thank the Community Health Center workers who are so selflessly putting their own health at risk to save others. Even in the best of times health centers deal with some of the most challenging of circumstances as problem solvers and healers, but these are uniquely difficult times. We at NACHC value your courage, sacrifice, innovation, and leadership. We are with you, we value you, and we appreciate you. Watch the Extended Version here: https://youtu.be/z5xUEkhYAuo

HRSA recently announced their desire that health centers work to be site-survey ready and “continually compliant” at all times. Leading health center compliance company, RegLantern LLC, recently signed a pilot program agreement with Community Health Ventures, NACHC’s business development affiliate, as a preferred web-based HRSA compliance vendor. Through RegLantern’s cloud-based platform health centers have a strong tool to do just that; HRSA continuous compliance. RegLantern takes complex HRSA program requirements found in the Compliance Manual and Site Visit Protocol and simplifies the process for busy health center leaders.

CHroniCles is a dynamic, multi-media website dedicated to the living history of the community health center movement. The site, a special project of the RCHN Community Health Foundation and the Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health Policy at Milken Institute School of Public Health at GWU, aims to document the vibrant, varied and important stories of health centers across the country through a web-based portal of narratives, photographs, videos and other materials.

The NACHC Community Health Institute (CHI) and EXPO is the largest annual gathering of health center clinicians, executives, consumer board members, along with State/Regional Primary Care Associations and Health Center Controlled Networks. The conference (August 18-20, 2019) is scheduled to kick off in Chicago, IL, at a time when health centers are charting a new course in a rapidly changing health environment and being called upon to assume a larger role in the nation’s health care system. Health centers now confront a time when change must be viewed within the context of opportunity. They must find new ways to deliver care more effectively and efficiently. The pathway to sustainability and competition calls for training in new disciplines, collaboration, workforce development, technology and pursuing innovative models of care that target both the social determinants of health and address the emerging public health issues and challenges of our day.
At the NACHC CHI health centers can take advantage of multiple opportunities to gain perspectives from thought and industry leaders, hear about cutting edge ideas and partnerships to improve financial sustainability, network, share ideas and best practices to stay vibrant and viable in the health care marketplace.
