Located in the greater New Haven area, Connecticut Psychiatric & Wellness Center is dedicated to providing children, adolescents, and adults with comprehensive mental health care. With offices in Hamden and Woodbridge, Connecticut, the psychiatric care practice, under the medical direction of David Aversa, MD, MPH, provides individual, family, and group therapy. The practice also offers medication management and collaborates with all other providers and systems that contribute to the well-being of each patient.
Some areas of specialty at Connecticut Psychiatric & Wellness Center include anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, and autism. The child and adult psychiatric care practice takes an integrative, holistic, and strength-based approach to care, focusing on empathy, self-determination, unconditional positive regard, and empowerment.
The integrative psychiatric practice offers a number of modalities to assist in the treatment of each patient’s mental wellness, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), QbTest for ADHD, and ketamine therapy. The practice also conducts quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) brain mapping with neurofeedback, which isn’t offered by many other providers in the area.
