Holmes, Jr., M.D., is a cardiologist in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, treating patients with all types of cardiovascular diseases. His clinical interests include the development of strategies for stroke prevention in the setting of nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, treatment of pulmonary vein stenosis, valvular heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and acute and chronic coronary artery disease. In addition to patient care, he works in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory specializing in interventional cardiology procedures, including treatment for left atrial appendage occlusion, structural heart disease, pulmonary vein stenosis, and acute and chronic coronary artery disease patients.
