Dr Russell has lived in the east county since 1959. He attended elementary school in Lakeside and El Cajon, middle school and high school in El Cajon. He graduated from Granite Hills High School in 1975.
Dr. Russell completed a Bachelors Degree in Zoology at Brigham Young University in 1982. While in dental school he participated in the research of experimental dental technology and was the UOP student representative at the 1984 Student Research Conference at the National Institute of Health. He represented UOP at the 1984 American Dental Association Convention student research competition presentations. He graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1985. He has practiced in Lakeside since 1985.
Dr Russell married his wife Carol in 1979. They have four children and four grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family and serving in and participating in his local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints congregation. He has been a scoutmaster, achieved the Eagle rank as a teenager and earned the Wood badge award as an adult. Dr Russell also enjoys videography as pastime.
Dr Russell's vision of dental patient care is to treat each patient as he would his own family. His desire is to help each patient maintain optimal dental health and do it in a conservative, cost effective manner. The use of newer technologies and methods are important to render state of the art treatment that is consistent with accepted standards of care.
Dr. Russell's desire is to keep each patient as comfortable as possible during their dental visit. His office is a comfortable, warm environment. He and his staff strive to provide each patient with the best possible care experience so that they feel safe in returning for preventative care. This preventative dental care is what insures that patients avoid the largest and most difficult dental problems.
