Those participating can play at any golf course and following an 18-hole round, golfers submit their picture and their scorecard. After scores are tallied on October 28, we will award a $500 cash prize for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place. Even if you can’t play golf, you can enter a chance to win the 50/50 Raffle or make a donation towards the two programs. This year is our 25th anniversary of the Golf & Cards Tournament, so we hope you will consider joining this unique and fun opportunity. While the class is especially recommended for people with diabetes and pre-diabetes, it is great information for people who want to eat more healthy by managing the carbohydrates in their diet. The Illinois Department of Public Health will be in Morris tomorrow, October 10, with their mobile COVID testing unit from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Saratoga Grade School, 4040 N. Division St., Morris. This is for anyone who wants to be tested, regardless of symptoms. Additional testing dates are today in Yorkville and next Tuesday, October 13, in Joliet.
The Illinois Department of Public Health is hosting a number of COVID mobile testing sites in the surrounding area this weekend, including Saturday, Nov. 7, in Yorkville, Joliet and Streator, and Sunday, Nov 8 in Yorkville, Romeoville and Streator.
