Parents... We have had a few cancellations for tomorrow evening's flu clinic (10/1/20). If your child needs their flu vaccine, give us a call to set-up their appointment. PLEASE NOTE: For the EVENING flu clinic, please proceed into the building through the south entrance at your appointment time. Do not wait in the car and attempt to contact our office as it will be after hours. We will have a screener at the waiting room entrance to take your temperature and ask the screening questions. We are looking forward to seeing you!!
Join us in congratulating Elle and Rosa on their anniversaries with Cook Children's. We are celebrating Elle's 15 year anniversary and Rosa's 10 year anniversary. Thank you Elle and Rosa for your dedication to our families and for making Cook Children's Mansfield great!
******IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SATURDAY'S (9/26/20) FLU CLINIC****** Please note that we will have an employee at the waiting room door that will be screening all patients entering the building. If you have an appointment at tomorrow's flu clinic, you will proceed with entering the building for your appointment. You will NOT call us to notify of arrival or wait in your car. This is for this Saturday's flu clinic only. Please remember to complete the e-check in for your appointment.
Even though Dr. Joki is no longer working with us, he has not forgotten us. To help us celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of fall, Dr. Joki sent a shaved ice truck to give our employees a special treat! It was yummy (although a bit of a challenge to eat with a mask on!)!! Thank you, Dr. Joki! We miss you!!
Parents - please note this IMPORTANT change to your child's appointment with our office. Starting Thursday, September 24th, we will now require all patients to wait in their car until they are told to come into the office. Once you arrive at our office, you will call the office to announce that you have arrived. We will check in your child and collect any payments over the phone. You will then be instructed to either come into the office or wait until you are called back to be informed that we are ready for you to enter the building. With this change, it will be critical for you to be registered for our patient portal and complete the e-check in process through the portal for your child's appointment. We appreciate your patience and understanding with this change as we strive to keep you, your child and our staff safe.
Parents - our flu clinics are filling up fast! Our next open flu clinic will be Wednesday, October 7th from 5p-7p. Be sure to call for your child's appointment today!
Parent just a reminder for those of you scheduled for the flu clinic this evening you may enter the building as you arrive. You do NOT need to call us to let us know you are here. We will have an employee at the front entrance on the south side of the building take everyone's temperatures as you enter the building.
Check out this article as to why its the most important year to receive your flu vaccines.
You can contact our office to schedule your child's flu vaccine appointment at 817-453-5437.

What? Another change in the check-in process? Parents - I know all of the changes have been challenging....believe us, we know! However, we have implemented another change in the check-in process that should make it even easier for you. It's called the Virtual Waiting Room. About 1.5 to 2 hours prior to your appointment time, you should receive a text advising you to text us when you arrive at the clinic. This text will state "Please reply HERE to let us know once you have arrived......" When you arrive, simply text us back and the system will notify us that you are here for your appointment. Once we have completed the check-in process and a room is ready for you, you will receive another text advising you to come into the building. With the Virtual Waiting Room, it is even more important for you to complete the e-check in process prior to your appointment time. The e-check in process can be completed up to 7 days in advance of your appointment. We think that you will really love this new process and our continued efforts to keep you and your children safe!
A big "Shout Out" for Dr. Daniels! Thank you for this great review!
Our virtual waiting room process is going extremely well. We hope that everyone feels a little safer knowing that you will be waiting in your car until you are notified to enter the building. However, we know that there is still concern about coming to the doctor's office. No worries!! We still have the ability to perform virtual visits and telephone encounters. Prior to calling a teledoc, give our office a call and ask about scheduling a virtual visit/telephone encounter. We will make sure that type of visit is the most appropriate for your child's symptoms/issues. We want to do whatever we can to make you feel safe!
Way to go, Cook Children's! Another example of Cook Children's commitment to its employees and our Promise. Every child's life is sacred and Cook Children's will do what it takes to give each child the best life possible!

Parents - we need your help! With the increase in COVID cases that we are seeing, we need to make sure that we are doing everything possible to keep your child, you and our employees/providers safe. If your child is scheduled for a well check exam and has been diagnosed with COVID, the well check exam will need to be rescheduled, even if they are not experiencing symptoms. If your child has a known exposure to a COVID positive person, there needs to be at least 14 days since their last exposure to that person. If your child has a family member with active COVID, contact our office so we can discuss your specific situation. The timing can be confusing so, when in doubt, give us a call!

As Thanksgiving Day draws near, we urge everyone to limit the size of gatherings and maintain physical distancing with each other especially when eating. Our furry, four-legged friends of the Sit...Stay...Play program have come to our assistance again to demonstrate what we should and shouldn't do when eating with others. Please be safe!
As many of you know, our office has implemented the virtual waiting room due to COVID-19. As a reminder, approximately 1-2 hours prior to your appointment time, you should receive a text asking you to reply "Here" when you arrive in our parking lot. Once you reply "Here", you will receive a "Thank You" response which will let you know that we received your "Here" text. Please note.... Should you not receive the "Thank You" response within 1-2 minutes of you sending the "Here" text, please call our office, press "0" and advise us that you have arrived for your appointment. We are having intermittent issues with cell phone coverage and responsiveness. Waiting for the "Thank You" text and then calling us if it is not received will help us is reducing your wait for your appointment.
