Pregnancy often times causes permanent separation of the abdominal muscles and permanent stretching of the abdominal and flank skin. Most abdominoplasty patients are candidates for a rectus diastasis repair which re-tightens the abdominal muscles. This creates a flat abdomen and acts like a corset for the waistline. Liposuction is performed in the abdomen, flanks, and back which contours the body, removes most bra-line and back fat rolls, and sculpts the body in to a feminine hour glass silhouette.
