Joining Northwell Health in 2016, Elizabeth J. Fontana, MD is an attending neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Fontana attended Harvard College as an undergraduate and then went on to receive her medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her neurological surgery residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a neurosurgery fellowship at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Fontana’s clinical focus includes brain tumors, spine tumors, degenerative spine disease, hydrocephalus and trauma. She is committed to providing superior, compassionate neurosurgical care to all of her patients.
