This one for me is all about 'practicing what you preach'!
I can run self-esteem workshops for kids all day long, teach growth mindset to anxious students, and help parents to re-frame their mistakes as learning opportunities; then go home and beat myself up for any number of reasons. I know I'm not alone as there seems to be an epidemic of being hard on yourself in the caring professions.
How about you? Are you your worst critic? Let's make a pact to treat ourselves the ways we teach others to treat themselves!
Too cute not to share!

In Conscious Discipline, we provide two positive choices instead of one positive choice and one negative choice.
Research shows that when children make a choice based on their own intrinsic desires, it motivates them and integrates the brain. Choices also provide children with an empowering sense of agency and responsibility. #iHeartCD

There’s SO much to a culture. As therapists, we should think about the ways illness and disability affects all aspects of our client’s lives.
