Dr. Erik Anderson is a fellowship trained corneal specialist / ophthalmologist based in Denver, Colorado. Growing up in Colorado, Dr. Anderson was raised in a healthcare environment and focused from an early age on a career in medicine. After completing his undergraduate with Honors from the University of Chicago, Dr. Anderson received a Master’s Degree from Georgetown University prior to completing medical school at the University of Illinois. Upon graduation he completed his ophthalmology residency at one of the busiest hospitals in the country, Cook County Medical Center in Chicago. While in residency he achieved the 90th percentile on the annual ophthalmology in-service exam and 95th percentile in cataract and corneal surgical volume. In the final year, he was elected Chief Resident by his attendings. Dr. Anderson then completed a Corneal, Refractive, and External Disease Fellowship at Wake Forest University. Dr. Anderson also completed a humanitarian trip to Honduras to provide complex surgical services to the underprivileged local community. In his free time Dr. Anderson enjoys skiing, golf, along with his wife and two young children. Dr. Anderson now practices at Icon Eyecare located in Englewood, Colorado and services patients in the Greater Denver area. He has completed thousands of successful surgical procedures using the latest in diagnostic and surgical technology.
