I hope this email finds you well and that you are staying safe during these difficult times. Our thoughts are with each of you. Although it has been challenging, we are endlessly inspired by the acts of kindness and support we have received from our community and continue to focus on the positive things happening around us.
We are happy to report Family First is doing well. We are grateful to continue to be COVID-free and provide a small safe setting for our residents. Our front line team has been amazing; staying on top of all the regulations and implementing extensive precautions all while keeping our residents engaged and connected with their loved ones. We are taking all precautions to include essential personal only in the homes with a temperature screening and masks. Our homes are thoroughly sanitized and all are practicing social distancing. We do anticipate the Governor to cautiously open up visiting for elder care very soon and will keep you posted. The health and safety of our residents and team members continues to be our top priority.
Family First’s option for 24-hour care has become even more desirable. We currently have 2 available openings. A private room at our Olalla location and a shared room at our Goodman location. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you or someone you know is in need of our services. We are doing virtual tours and outdoor window tours (with masks, of course).

Chelsea, a 1LT army nurse corps says she #masksup “for my cousin Aubrey who just completed her final chemo treatment. I mask up to protect the phlebotomists who allow me to make platelet donations every other week for patients in need. I mask up for my patients I take care of, because I’ve seen firsthand what COVID is capable of.”

We are so excited to share some wonderful news! 7 caregivers at Family First were nominated for the Pierce County HCPC’s Allstar care giver of the year Award! This is such an honor and yesterday we found out that 2 of our nominees won! There were close to 100 nominees and 10 winners total.

You are both so deserving of this recognition. Family First is very fortunate to have 35 incredible team members that work hard putting our residents care and well being there top priority.

With winter upon us and all that is going on, it is more important than ever to be proactive and prepare for the future when it comes to caring for your loved one.
We are reaching out today to let you know we have a private and shared room available.
We have been providing 24/7 care in a small home setting for 21 years and have an excellent reputation throughout the community. We have a team of dedicated CNAs, a visiting physician, an activities director and many others who work together to ensure your loved one is cared for with the utmost compassion and respect.
