Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. To help support the Alzheimer's Association's mission to #ENDALZ, TMA is joining forces with our sister companies, TMNAS, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, and First Insurance Company of Hawaii, LTD, to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Members of our community action team, First CAT, spent Saturday morning at Waimea Valley, weeding, helping with invasive species control, and painting. Thank you for having us, Waimea Valley! We hope to come back soon!
Since late August, our Shidler College of Business interns have been rotating (virtually) through our various departments to learn how we operate as an insurance carrier. Yesterday, they spent the afternoon with our Marketing Communications unit via Zoom. Mark, Skyla, and Lydia shared their perspective on using social media to reach millennials. We look forward to their formal presentation to FICOH leaders mid-December!

To celebrate #CustomerServiceWeek, FICOH associates were invited to participate in various virtual activities. This year’s #CSW theme was “Dream Team,” so we put #TeamFICOH’s #collaboration skills to the test with a group poker challenge. Associates were sent a random playing card and were tasked with finding other associates to form an eligible five-card poker hand.

In addition to participating in Alzheimer's Association - Hawaii's virtual walk this weekend, we’ve joined forces with our #TokioMarine sister companies, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, Tokio Marine America, TMNAS, & Tokio Marine Claims Services to form a national team! Together, we’re raising funds for the Alzheimer's Association and walking in support of a future without this disease.
Our Wellness Ambassador Committee (WAC) hosted a virtual origami class for our associates during lunchtime last week. We had so much fun learning how to make a dogs, aloha shirts, and cranes!
