Let's talk INTERMITTENT FASTING!
The most common form of intermittent fasting is the 16:8 - you fast overnight and into the morning or early evening for 16 hours and then eat for 8 hours. The diet doesn’t tell you what to eat, only when to eat it.
When you start a fast, a few key changes are made in your body that help you lose weight and feel energized:
✅ Fed to fasted = your body shifts from using carbohydrates and glucose for fuel to using fatty acids and ketones for fuel. This is the preferred fuel source for your brain, resulting in up-regulated cognitive function.
✅ Blood sugar drops = improving insulin sensitivity, burns fat and regulates energy levels
✅ Cells get stressed = this isn’t always a bad thing, a little stress helps your cells work harder
Intermittent fasting may slightly boost metabolism while helping you eat fewer calories. It’s a very effective way to lose weight and belly fat. However, If you want to start fasting, we recommend you start slowly!

Drop sets refer to the act of changing the size of your weights as you start to fatigue towards the end of your standard sets. It’s a technique similar to training to failure, in which you complete a set for as many reps as possible. However, the main difference between failure training and drop sets is that you drop the size of the weights as you fatigue.
Here's how you do them:
Normally, when you perform your reps you take rest periods, but when you're doing drop sets you reduce the weight and perform as many reps as you can without taking breaks.

For a lot of people, particularly those committed to a healthy lifestyle, Thanksgiving can be a time of pressure, regret, and guilt.
