Hey Foundry Fam! As we continue on our recovery plan, our goal has been to take one small step closer to working our way back to our original programming every month. The following changes will be in effect beginning NOVEMBER 1ST! 1. All classes will be indoors with additional stations set up right outside of the gym for those who do not yet feel comfortable stepping inside the gym. 2. Members will now be able to take up to 4 classes per week. 3. Additional class times will be added on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have diligently worked to provide you with a safe space to workout. Between Simon and myself we have conducted over 1,000 classes in person during this tumultuous time. 6,675 pairs of shoes collected in total for the Rukundo International Shoe Collection (as of 3 days ago)! Foundry Fitness is always proud to partner with Rukundo and we love being a part of such a wonderful, generous community! So grateful to all of our supporters that helped us collect close to 1100 pairs! We exceeded last year by 200 and came VERY close to our goal of 1200 pairs. You guys rock!! Look who's back in the house! For those of you that don't know, Edna fractured both of her wrists about 6 weeks ago. But that didn't stop her, or discourage her. She's already back in here killing it! If that's not motivation, I don't know what is! Edna Josell you are a true warrior, and inspiration to everyone! We are so proud of you!!👏👏💪❤️

Luckily, we are already almost at 25% capacity, so we will just have to decrease our indoor slots by 1, from 11 down to 10.

The final count is in! 8,450 pairs of shoes collected for the 2020 Rukundo International Shoe Drive!! We are thrilled that Foundry Fitness was able to contribute and meet our goal of 1200 pairs, thanks to all of you. We are so incredibly appreciative of everyone’s support. Shout out to Andrea and all her amazing volunteers for all the hours they dedicate to helping this organization!

Things are looking hopeful! One of our members already got the covid vaccine from Novavax 2 months ago, and he has had zero side effects! :)

COVID TRAINING Working out with a mask on sucks in the beginning, but then you evolve and after a couple weeks you get used to it and your conditioning skyrockets! Its kinda like those oxygen deprivation masks that hardcore athletes use to increase their conditioning. I call it Covid training, and I encourage you to workout with your masks on even at home. Because god forbid you do get covid and worst case you are one of the low percentage severe cases, you are training your body to perform with less oxygen so you will be prepared! #EVOLVING
