Dr. Robbins began his practice of optometry in 1982. He maintained offices in Portland and South Portland until 1997, when he joined with two neighboring practices to create Casco Bay EyeCare. He is a member of the Maine Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association, and has served as a preceptor at the University of New England and as a staff optometrist at Martin’s Point Health Care. He is also a past director and treasurer of the Maine Optometric Association. Dr. Robbins received his doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a biology degree. In 2012 he was one of the first optometrists nationwide to become certified
by the new American Board of Optometry. Dr. Robbins and his wife live in downtown Portland and spend much of their leisure time exploring the many and varied neighborhoods of our remarkable little city. On less ambitious days they are content to garden in their city- sized backyard and just BE.
