Genevieve Lama, MD is board certified endocrinologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She treats a wide range of hormone-related conditions, including osteoporosis, thyroid disease, obesity, adrenal disorders, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She creates individualized treatment plans and assists patients in making lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet and exercising regularly.
Dr. Lama has been practicing more than 22 years, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients. She earned her medical degree from State University of New York health Science Center in Syracuse, New York. She completed her internship and residency at Winthrop University Hospital and went on to complete a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Westchester Medical Center and Sound Shore Medical Center.
Dr.Lama is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, diabetes , and metabolism and a member of the American Medical Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American Diabetes Association. She contributed research to Bypass Angioplasty Revascularization investigation 2 Diabetes (BARI 2D) study.
