We are currently experiencing a delay in shipment of our flu vaccine and are temporarily only able to vaccinate children in the office and at our Saturday flu clinics. We expect more vaccine in the near future and hope to resume vaccinating parents very soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncertain time.
Hurray! We just received a shipment of flu vaccine and will be able to vaccinate parents, as well as children, at tomorrow's flu clinic at our Parker location. We will keep you posted about availability at upcoming flu clinics. We have also added two more clinic days- Saturdays, 10/17 and 10/24. Please call our office to schedule.

Planning Ahead...
At Greenwood Pediatrics, we want to remain available to provide the safest care possible and want to keep you apprised of our plans. As we anticipate an increased number of sick visits once children return to school, we are making arrangements to create completely separated acute care spaces at all three locations.
Waiting rooms will remain open only to children arriving for well care and noncontagious visits, and accompanying adults must be free of illness symptoms. Your entire visit, from waiting room to hallway to exam room and back, will be completely isolated from any sick patients.
Children with contagious symptoms will enter through separate doors and be placed directly into exam rooms. These areas will be completely separated from the rest of the facilities by internal doors. We will keep you updated as we move to this new and safe structure. For more information, please visit www.greenwoodpediatrics.com.
For tomorrow’s (10/10) flu clinic in Parker, we will only be able to vaccinate children and not parents. Our latest shipments have again been delayed, but we expect to receive them before our next clinic in Littleton on 10/17. Please check back for updates and we apologize for any inconvenience.
We are so sorry to announce that our flu clinic scheduled for tomorrow at Littleton has had to be moved to next Saturday, 10/24. Our FedEx delivery expected today is sitting somewhere in Memphis, TN. If you have an appointment for tomorrow, it will remain at the same time next Saturday, so no need to call unless you need to change. Thanks as always for your patience.
Halloween this year can still be a fun experience for children and their families. Yet the prospect of trick-or-treating at homes of people we don’t know is a bit risky. Get tips and tricks on our website.

We occasionally come across resources we feel might benefit our families and would like to pass along the one below from the Parent Engagement Network (PEN). This is a virtual conference open to anyone who needs extra support during these difficult times. Greenwood Pediatrics does not have a relationship with PEN and does not benefit in any way from sharing this information.
From PEN:
Through this virtual conference, PEN offers unique and specific tools to manage stress and anxiety. Concerns addressed are relevant for parents and adults caring for youth and adults, in general. The conference is very affordable and there are 10 presentations over January 29th and 30th. You may sign up for as many or as few presentations as you like.

We love our Greenwood families, both yours and our own, so our entire clinical staff has been vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus. We believe in the power of science and hope you will consider the vaccine whenever you are able. Just a reminder that we offer both nasopharyngeal swab (PCR) and saliva testing for the Covid-19 virus at all of our locations. Both require a visit with one of our providers to determine which is more appropriate for your child. Please note that the saliva test is not suitable for those without symptoms, even if they may have been exposed. As always, feel free to call our office with any questions.
Due to dangerous road conditions, we will be rescheduling well visits for tomorrow. If you have an appointment, please expect a call from one of our patient representatives to find a new time that works for you. If your child is sick or injured or you have other medical questions, please call the office and our physicians will be happy to help.
