Hot dog! We're showing appreciation for our co-workers today and kicking off our 130th year of service in Springfield. The Sisters of Mercy accepted the first patient to the city's first hospital on this day in 1891.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 9, new visitor restrictions at #MercySouthSTL will take effect. Visitors will be limited to one designated visitor per patient per day. Patients and visitors must use only the main entrance. The heart hospital (south) entrance will be for surgical patients only. The emergency entrance remains for emergency patients only.

Under a beautiful sunrise over the weekend, crews began pouring concrete for the proton vault of the new Proton Therapy Center at #MercySTL.
The pour required placement of 500 cubic yards of concrete - that's nearly 60 truck loads of concrete - and took nearly 12 hours to complete with two concrete pumps working continuously and concurrently.
